About Us

Military-Travel.net was established by Charles Kessler, an Internet entrepreneur and founder of A1 Discount Hotels, Al Discount Hotels, one of the Internet's leading hotel reservation companies, recognized for its commitment to customer service.

He had previous experience in the hospitality industry, as the owner/manager of The Island Resort in Koh Samui, Thailand and as the founder of Marvin Gardens Restaurant in Marin County, California.

Having served in the US Army in the 1960's, he wanted to give something back to the soldiers serving their countries, and with his position in the industry, is able to offer an additional rebates (off the already low prices of Hotels.com) of 5% on all hotel reservations, to military members and their families worldwide. This includes both active and retired personell.
